Membership

PSGB is a thriving and friendly society that encourages members from all backgrounds, career stages, primatological disciplines and institutions (including universities, zoos, welfare organisations and NGOs). If not already a member, you are encouraged to join PSGB. You will get three copies per year of the Society journal, Primate Eye, reduced price PSGB Spring and Winter meeting registration, and be eligible to apply for PSGB grants. You will also be able to subscribe to Folia Primatologica, the official scientific journal of PSGB, at a reduced cost.

Full Membership

Full membership is open to people (including postgraduate students) with a recognised qualification in primatology. Applications must be supported by a current member (requiring an email address for online applications or signature on the printed form) or accompanied by a CV.

Associate Membership

Those without a recognised qualification who have a serious interest in primates can join as Associate members (supporter not required). Associate members can participate in all Society activities but cannot hold office or vote at Society business meetings.

Student Membership

Full-time students can join as Student members. Student status must be confirmed by a tutor or supervisor (requiring an email address for online applications or signature on the printed form). The tutor / supervisor does not need to be a PSGB member. Following graduation, students are allowed to renew at the student rate for one additional year.

Institutional Membership

Organisations with an interest in primatology can join as Institutional members.

Life Membership

Full and Associate members can choose to join as Life members. Please contact the Membership Secretary for further information.

Honorary Membership

From time to time, PSGB awards honorary membership to deserving individuals and organisations.

Renewal

You can join or renew securely online. If not paying by standing order, you will need a PayPal account to do this. You can also join by post by downloading and completing this form. It is also available in Primate Eye, on request from membership@psgb.org or by post from the PSGB Membership Secretary, Dr Gillian Forrester, Department of Psychology, University of Westminster, 309 Regent Street, London W1B 2UW.

• Full/Associate membership paid by banker's order £25.00
• Full/Associate lifetime membership £500.00
• Student membership £15.00
• Institutional membership £30.00
• Overseas postal supplement £3.00

PSGB stores your personal data electronically on a secure database to administer your membership, grant applications and meeting registrations. We never disclose your personal data to third parties. From time-to-time, PSGB may circulate a list of current members (name and institution only) to other PSGB members. If you register for a conference, PSGB may circulate your name and institution to other conference registrants. If you do not want your membership or conference registration disclosed to other PSGB members or conference registrants, please contact the Membership Secretary (membership@psgb.org). Please also contact the Membership Secretary if you would like to correct or update your details.
