PSGB student representative - call for applications

PSGB STUDENT REPRESENTATIVE - CALL FOR APPLICATIONS

Katharine Balolia's term of office as the PSGB student rep comes to an end in December this year. She has done a really wonderful job and has been an enthusiastic member of Council. Her achievements include being instrumental in establishing the Lockwood Medal for the best student talk at the Spring PSGB meeting. Council will miss her as student rep, but she will continue to be involved with PSGB as a member of the Marketing Working Party.

PSGB is therefore looking for a new student representative to serve on Council for two years (January 2011 - December 2012) to represent student interests.

We are looking for a PSGB student member, based in the UK, who is able to attend 3 council meetings a year (travel expenses will be paid) and PSGB Meetings, plus liaison with students between meetings.

If you are a student member of PSGB interested in this position, you should send a short CV and short statement (not more than one side of A4 each) about why you would like to serve on Council to the PSGB Secretary, Sarah.Elton@hyms.ac.uk, before 30th August, 2010. If you would like to chat about this position informally, please get in touch with Katharine (k.balolia@ucl.ac.uk) or Sarah.

Supervisors - please draw this notice to the attention of your students and encourage them to apply!
