Advertising in Primate Eye

Primate Eye is the newsletter of the Primate Society of Great Britain, an organisation with over 350 members. Our members all have an interest in primates and include people from a number of fields - academics, students, zoo and laboratory workers. Our members include biologists, anthropologists and psychologists who may also study humans and non-primate mammals. Our members are interested in animal behaviour, conservation, anatomy, wildlife travel and many other aspects of natural history and biology.

Advertisements for academic books and journals placed in Primate Eye will reach people researching in anthropology, psychology, animal behaviour, physiology, human evolution, animal welfare and anatomy. As many of our members are lecturers and students, advertisements for text books will also be targeted at an appropriate audience.

Primate Eye is sent out three times a year, in February, June and October (to include material please submit by early January, early May and early September respectively). You can advertise with Primate Eye by placing an advertisement in the newsletter or by including a flyer inside the newsletter.

Cost

Advertisements in the newsletter

Full page (14.5 x 21 cm): £100

Half page (7.25 x 10.5 cm): £55

Flyers

Flyers are sent out at a cost of £150 per mailing plus any extra postage costs incurred by us (i.e. if the weight of the flyer increases the mailing cost of the newsletter). In many cases there will be no extra postage charge. All flyers should be pre-folded to A5 size. If you wish to send unfolded flyers we shall charge £6 per fold per mailing.

Occasionally, Council may decide that a mailing that is deemed to be of interest to a large proportion of the membership can be sent out for an advertiser independent of Primate Eye. In this case, PSGB will undertake the mailing for the advertiser at a cost of £200 + postage. Under no circumstances will PSGB give out the names on the mailing list to a 3rd party.

Please send copy direct to the editor: For further information, or a sample copy of Primate Eye, please contact, the Hon. Secretary of PSGB.

Not-for-profit primate related information

General information on grants, research opportunities, publications and appeals will often be included in Primate Eye for free at the discretion of the Editor. In some circumstances, flyers may also be included with Primate Eye at the reduced rate of £50 plus any extra postage costs incurred.
